Getting into the team spirit: Carly Cole checks her wallet as she stops off at the official Liverpool FC store

She is already a fixture at husband Joe's games, and clearly Carly Cole takes her WAG role very seriously.

She popped into the Liverpool FC merchandise store yesterday to stock up on her new team colours.

Perhaps Carly felt out of place as she watched Joe's debut game with the club over the weekend, dressed in a neutral colour palette.

The 26-year-old was spotted carrying a bag full of red merchandise from the store as her mother waited outside with baby Ruby.

Dressed in black cropped trousers and cardigan and a bright yellow top, Carly let her doting mother take over pushing duties with Ruby's pram as she sent texts on her Blackberry.

The new Liverpool wares will be replacing the family's stock of Chelsea blue after Joe's move to the northern team this month.

The family relocated at the end of July in preparation for his debut match on Saturday.

Carly could be seen with her head in her hands as her 'devastated' husband was sent off 47 minutes into the game against Arsenal.

The 28-year-old was shown the red card for dangerously tackling Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny near the touchline.

Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson said Joe was devastated at receiving the punishment for the first time in his career during the hugely important debut game.

The Coles appear to be settling into their new city, and are reportedly in the process of purchasing a £2.6million two-storey house in footballer favourite Merseyside.

After viewing more than 12 properties over the past few weeks, the couple look set to move out of their £800-a-night suite at the Hilton Hotel in Liverpool City Centre.

Their new contemporary-designed home boasts a swimming pool, hot tub and Balinese landscaped garden.

It is also close to Formby's beach, where Joe and Carly were spotted taking a romantic stroll recently.
