Matching up: Coleen Rooney with her family, who are practicing Catholics, wore matching hoodies during their pilgrimage to Lourdes
Coleen Rooney has had a testing time of late.
Not only did she find out her husband Wayne had paid for prostitutes while she was pregnant, but her sister Rosie fell seriously ill.
So perhaps it’s only natural that the 24-year-old should call on her faith to help her family through their anguish – and how better than with a pilgrimage to Lourdes?

Friends said the Manchester United player’s wife planned to bring back bottles of holy water for Rosie, 12, who has an incurable brain disorder, Rett Syndrome.Many Catholics believe the town’s natural springs have healing powers.
She visited the Grotto of Lourdes, where visitors write down prayers and post them into a box.
One friend said: ‘Coleen has visited Lourdes several times. Her parents used to take her when she was very young and she has since been back with children from her local church and again with Rosie two years ago.
‘Her trips have always helped her and she needs all the strength she can get for the coming weeks.’
Mrs Rooney has been keeping a vigil at Rosie’s bedside after she was taken to intensive care following a stroke.

Two weeks ago she learned her husband had paid for £1,200-a-night prostitute Jenny Thompson, 21, and her friend Helen Wood, 23, while she was pregnant.
Rooney stayed at home to prepare for yesterday’s match against Liverpool.
The couple have salvaged their 18-month marriage, but Rooney has been warned it will be over if he strays again.
