Summer break: Claudine Keane shows off the figure that netted her a lucrative contract with Ultimo during her holiday with husband Robbie in Sardinia

After a busy season that saw a stint in Scotland with Celtic, and his team Tottenham Hotspur finish fourth in the Premier League, Robbie Keane is currently enjoying a well deserved break with his wife Claudine.

The 29-year-old striker and his wife, 27, relaxed on sun loungers by the pool at their favourite hangout in Porto Cervo, Sardinia, with their 13-month-old son Robert safely protected from the sun in his buggy.

Claudine showed off her slimline figure in a tiny white two-piece bikini with green sequins decorating the skimpy top.

The blonde former Miss Ireland contestant soaked up the rays as she reclined on her sun lounger in a pair of mirrored aviator shades.

At one point they took little Robert, who was born last May, out of his buggy to join them next to their sun loungers.

And Robbie couldn't resist having a go with a football that was underneath his wife's lounger - although the sight of it must remind him of the World Cup and the fact Ireland cruelly missed out on a controversial handball against France.

The Size 8 blonde quickly regained her trim figure after giving birth to son Robert last year, after gaining two stone while pregnant.

She insists she didn't hit the gym or resort to dieting to lose the baby weight, she was fortunate enough that it fell away naturally.

Though she may fit the stereotypical image of the footballer's wife in terms of her looks, Claudine is more than a pretty face.

She actually has a first class degree in economics and finances from University College Dublin.

But her career has taken a back seat in recent years for motherhood and supporting her husband as he moves from club to club.

Earlier this year Claudine was chosen to represent Ultimo's Adore Moi range.

She replaced former Adore Moi face Jenni Falconer and is rumoured to have signed a six-figure sum to represent the brand.

Meanwhile, the family could be set for a permanent move north of the border if new Celtic manager Neil Lennon has his way.

This week Lennon has confirmed his desire to bring Robbie Keane back to Parkhead permanent following his loan from Tottenham.

Keane spent the second half of the Scottish Premier League campaign with the club proving his worth with 12 league goals from 16 appearances.

Lennon has now confirmed he is looking to thrash out a deal with Spurs to secure him permanently.

He said: 'I'd love to have Robbie Keane back here. It'll be his decision.

Financially it'll be a big decision for us if we can pull it off.

'He was wonderful. He made a massive contribution. Not only on the field. He's got those leadership qualities that I'm looking for. He has that quality that we've been lacking this year and a half or so.'
