Too busy to miss their men: New mother Carly Cole bringing her baby Ruby home in London today (left) as Christine Bleakley was spotted out before work

The last time England played in an international tournament, the WAGs were impossible to miss as they partied and spent their way around Baden Baden, Germany.

But with new England skipper Fabio Capello taking a stricter approach to the team's wives and girlfriends, this year's World Cup in South Africa will be noticeably lacking in WAGs.

So as Chelsea and England teammates Frank Lampard and Joe Cole touched down in South Africa today, their respective partners Christine Bleakley and Carly Cole were left behind in London.

But while their fellow WAGs may be stuck in their multi-million pound mansions pining for their men, Bleakley and Mrs Cole will have plenty to keep them unoccupied.

Bleakley is unable to join Lampard because of her presenting commitments on The One Show.

Fitness trainer Mrs Cole will also be busy, taking care of their 11-week-old daughter Ruby Tatiana.

However, the 26-year-old is said to be considering flying to South Africa if England reach the semi-finals, which will take place on July 6.

But the thought of brining a young baby on an 11 and half hour flight, Mrs Cole is probably in no rush to head to South Africa.

If she does head to the tournament, she may end up sharing a flight with fellow new mum Coleen Rooney, who is also expected if England reach the semis.

Mrs Cole looked every bit the harassed new mum today as she struggled up the stairs of her Chelsea townhouse with her daughter's large £560 Silver Cross pram.

Wearing a pair of grey skinny jeans and tight yellow vest, it looked like Mrs Cole has already lost most of her baby weight.

Meanwhile, not far away was Bleakley, who hit the gym before joining Matt Baker on The One Show sofa later that day.
