Settling in nicely: The Coles seen out in Liverpool, as Carly shops for home wares (but they're still in a hotel!)

Home wares: Carly Cole looks at linen for her new home after moving to Liverpool this week, but the family are staying in a hotel

She hasn't even moved into her new home yet, but Carly Cole is already shopping up a storm to decorate it.

The new Liverpool resident is staying in a hotel with husband Joe Cole after their move this week to the northern city, but that didn't stop her from checking out home wares yesterday.

The couple had a busy day, first meeting for lunch in John Lewis with baby Ruby.

Girls only: Carly, with her mother and baby Ruby in tow, shopped in M&S Homes and Zara Home, while husband Joe returned to the hotel

Contract: Cole has been bought by Liverpool for a reported £90,000 per week for four years

Joe, who has commenced his new four-year contract with Liverpool, picked up a few items in the store before heading back to the hotel alone.

Meanwhile Carly, dressed casually in a white jumper and rolled up jeans, shopped with her mother in M&S Homes and Zara Home.

Cradling four-month-old Ruby, the former I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here contestant paused to look at bedding and towels.

Carly and Joe appear to have traded in their oversized £560 Silver Cross pram for a more compact model to negotiate the streets of Liverpool with.

Although smaller, baby Ruby's new mode of luxurious travel comes with an even heftier price tag of £829.

Their previous pram swamped the petite mother, 25, but Carly looked as though she had no problem maneuvering the Stokke Xplory.

The Coles look to be settling into their new home town after moving out of London this week.

Carly was spotted doing some DIY removals, lugging heavy suitcases and a cot out of their Chelsea house.

The fitness instructor has made the move with England star Joe after he was lured away from Chelsea for a rumoured £90,000 per week contract.

But he insists it was not the pay rise that convinced him to make the move.

'This is a massive club. I tried to take everything out of the equation, take the financial and location side out and just thought in football terms,' the midfielder said.

'I thought about the semi-final of the Champions League in 2005 when I ran onto the field and the hairs on the back of my neck stood up.

'I was thinking about playing in that atmosphere every week and that swung it for me.

'I know I have made the right decision and I am looking forward to the challenge.

'I have played in London all my life. I could have stayed at Chelsea because the fans loved me and I won things, but I wanted to challenge myself and when I knew Liverpool were interested it was a no-brainer because they are the biggest club in the country.'

Downsized, but not downgraded: Carly was seen pushing a new, smaller pram that appeared to be a better fit for the petite mother. The sleeker model comes with a £829 price tag
