Retail therapy: Alex Curran hits Boudoir Boutique in Liverpool following the sentencing of the burglar who threatened to kidnap her children

Alex Curran would have been in a jubilant mood as she indulged in a spot of retail therapy in Liverpool today.

The wife of England captain Steven Gerrard visited exclusive designer store Boudoir Boutique, still in her gym gear to pick up some items from their limited collection.

She appeared cheery and fresh faced as she left the store in a pair of black leggings, with a loose-fitting yellow top over her black vest and cross trainers, heading home in the couple's white Range Rover.

Boudoir Boutique offers a very limited range to its clientele, so that they can be sure that there is a very slim somebody will have the item they have purchased

The store counts items from jewellery designers Mawi and Italian label Pinko among its exclusive offerings.

Alex would have been treating herself after the burglar who threatened to kidnap her children was sentenced for the terrifying invasion of her home.

She branded the burglar who threatened to kidnap her children as scum on her Twitter page following his sentencing.

She tweeted: 'Had a lovely day in Southport. "HE" went to Jail - I'm happy.'

When asked by a fan who she was talking about she replied: 'The horrible scum who broke in to my house.'

Armed raider Martin Wilson, 22, was this week jailed for seven years and four months after admitting burglary at the £3million home in Formby, Merseyside in December 2007.
Wilson was one of three masked men who smashed their way into the England star's home while Alex and children Lilly-Ella, six, and four-year old Lexie were inside.

The violent gang warned Alex and nanny Lyndsey Johnston they had a knife.

One screamed at her: 'Where's the f****** safe? Where's the jewellery? If you don't tell us where the safe is, we'll take the kids.'

Earlier this week Alex posed in her designer clothes while cleaning a car to promote a competition sponsored by Hyundai.
