After a Saturday spent on the soccer pitch with four year-old Violet and Seraphina, 21 months, the actress yesterday took the two youngsters to a petting zoo in the Santa Monica area of Los Angeles.
There the family met roosters and sheep, with little Seraphina getting particularly close to one woolly friend.
Garner was casually dressed for the unseasonably chilly Los Angeles temperatures, wearing a warm padded black coat and jeans.
However there was no sign of husband Ben Affleck who is busy promoting his latest film The Town.
It seems that the girls are quite big fans of farm animals, with Seraphina apparently keen on a themed costume for Halloween.

Pretty in pink: Both wearing padded coats, Garner carries Seraphina, who looked adorable in pink shoes and bunches'It seems like every time we ask her, it's a different farm animal,' Garner recently told People Magazine.
'[Violet] has a very clear idea, but it's contingent upon my younger daughter.
'Costumes are not ready in my house. Now, I'm realising I need to at least get the orders in.'
